Where Am I?

Apologies for my absence, but given the tremendous amount of work I have in the lab as well as some other personal issues I'm dealing with, I'm not able to work on new posts and new reviews. I'll resume those as soon as I can.
I apologize to the bands who sent me promotional cd's or digital files, for the delay. But "real life" takes precedence.

Cheers

Assaf

  1. Hey, we all do what we can, when we can. If I had more of a 'real' or 'take-home' career I'm sure I'd be a little more rarely found.

  2. Yeah, I try to do as much as I can in my spare time (what I do is not a real career, sadly; I'm on the lookout for one now actually), but listening enough times and then writing and re-writing a review takes me a lot of time (and sometimes the review refuses to come out... dry spell).

I do explain this to labels/bands/musicians ahead of time, but I still feel guilty about it when it takes more than I predicted it would.

    Thanks for dropping by!

  3. I understand you all too well, Assaf, because I'm a perfectionist, and normally a review takes me at least two days to write (not counting all the listening sessions prior to actually sitting down and writing about a CD). Luckily most label owners/musicians understand that, and are happy with the results. Incidentally, I have a few of those CDs in my reviewing queue...
