Recommendations from the Bandcamps

Apologies for not posting anything in the last days. My workload in the lab has risen and so my time for the blog as accordingly diminished proportionally.

However, I'll now present you with some nice finds from Bandcamp. After the jump, that is...

Papir from Denmark (ah, Denmark, Denmark... One day, I'll live there), are playing psych-rock/Krautrock/post-rock. They have a s/t EP up there which you can stream and pay-what-you-want.

Look To Windward from New Zealand play an interesting and eclectic form of progressive metal. Listen to their 2010 album, Fortunes Haze:

The next group I've know about for some time but was never too much into their music.
However, I'm sure others will like it. They now have a bandcamp so here's the opportunity to sample their eclectic/avant-rock form of tunes:

Acollective from Israel are a lovely art-rock group that will release an album later this year (in March 2011) but for now you can listen to a single from that album, called Whisky Eyes).

Again a band I've known for a while (and added on Prog Archives), Capillary Action are an avant-rock/eclectic-rock group that have released the album, So Embarrassing in 2007 and will be releasing a new one, Capsized, later this year.

Dan Dankmeyer has been releasing his progressive metal albums for the last 2-3 years and you can stream them all and pay-what-you-want-download them at his bandcamp.
Here is his latest album from January 2011:

Last but not least, Australian band Ennis Tola has released in 2010 their first album, an ambitious heavy progressive rock oeuvre called Seed.
