Julie Slick and Carl Bahner - Live in the Studio
Bassist Julie Slick teams up with drummer Carl Bahner in this live-in-the-studio release.
In my post about my faourite releases of 2010, I listed bassist Julie Slick's debut album.
It is a refreshing and entertaining instrumental rock (and at times experimental) album.
Now Julie's second output is a collaboration with drummer Carl Bahner, where they play line-in-the-studio as its title says (order here where you can also sample three tunes).
As for Julie's first album, you can stream and buy it here and here.. It features contributions from Robert Fripp, Pat Mastelotto, and Marco Minnemann.
You can also check out her music in Papercat, with her brother Eric on drums and Robbie "Seahag" Mangano on guitar, here.
And of course, you can listen to the Adrian Belew Power Trio, consisting of her brother Eric and herself joining Adrian Belew.
